📘 CBSE BOARDS 2025: Improvement, Compartment & Re-evaluation Guidelines

✅ 1. IMPROVEMENT EXAMS

🔹 Who Can Apply:

• Students who have passed Class 10 or 12 in 2025.
• Want to increase marks in one or more subjects.

📅 Key Dates:

• Applications: June–July 2025
• Exams: July 2025
• Results: August 2025

📌 Rules:

• You can appear for any number of subjects you passed.
• Best of two results is NOT considered — the latest score stands, even if lower.
• You will receive a new marksheet with the revised score.

2. COMPARTMENT EXAMS

🔹 Who Can Apply:

• Class 10: Failed in up to 2 subjects.
• Class 12: Failed in 1 subject.

📅 Key Dates:

• Applications: June 2025
• Exam: July 2025
• Results: Within 3–4 weeks

📝 Attempt Limit:

• You get 3 chances to clear:
  • July (same year)
  • March (next year)
  • July (next year)

✏️ Note:

• Students failing more than 1 subject in Class 12 must appear as private candidates next year.

🔍 3. RE-EVALUATION / VERIFICATION OF MARKS

CBSE gives a 3-stage process if you’re unhappy with your result.

🧾 Stage 1: Verification of Marks

• Check if your marks were added up correctly.
• Apply within 2–3 days of result declaration.
• Fee: ₹500 per subject

📄 Stage 2: Photocopy of Answer Sheet

• Request scanned copy of your evaluated paper.
• Helps if you’re planning for rechecking.
• Fee: ₹700 per subject (Class 12), ₹500 (Class 10)

🖊️ Stage 3: Re-evaluation

• If you find an issue in your paper, you can request a full recheck.
• Only for selected subjects.
• Fee: ₹100 per question

⚠️ Important:

• Revised marks (higher or lower) are final.
• Re-evaluation is only allowed once per subject.

3. Fill out the form, upload documents, and pay fees online.
