New Delhi, 4 November 2025 —
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has officially released the notification for the March/April 2026 Public Examination for both Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) learners. The notification outlines exam fee dates, late fee structure, and important eligibility rules for all candidates.
This schedule applies to learners registering for the upcoming 2026 exams and those appearing again after their September/October 2025 examinations.
📌 Exam Fee Schedule for March/April 2026 (Secondary & Senior Secondary)
1. Without Late Fee
For learners enrolled in Stream-1, Block-1
(For March/April 2026 Examination)
- 21 November 2025 to 20 December 2025
This also applies to learners who appeared in September/October 2025 exams.
📌 With Late Fee — ₹150 per Subject
- 21 December 2025 to 31 December 2025
📌 With Consolidated Late Fee — ₹1600 per Learner
- 1 January 2026 to 10 January 2026
⚠️ Important Eligibility Rule
Learners of Senior Secondary (Class 12) must have a compulsory 2-year gap between passing the Secondary exam and appearing for Class 12 exams.
Only a maximum of 4 subjects can be selected if the 2-year gap is not completed.
